I love this pattern. It reminds me of that material you could get that has the little white dots on it? It just has that quaint look.

Basket Weave

This is a fun stitch and looks so pretty. It also makes a nice pattern on the “wrong” side. This picture is a scarf I made with this pattern. I ended up making 2 of them and I love it.

A is for………

Andalusian Stitch

Very simple pattern that is mostly stockinette with a row of knit and purl thrown in. Gives a subtle texture to an otherwise very flat look.

Here is the pattern:

Multiple of 2

Row 1: (right side) Knit

Row 2: Purl

Row 3: *Knit 1, Purl 1; repeat from * to last stitch, Knit 1

Row 4: Purl

Arrowhead Lace

This is not really a “beginner” stitch, but of the lace stitches it’s one of the easiest. It makes a lovely, airy pattern that is beautiful no matter what you choose to make with it. If you go online and look it up you will find gorgeous patterns that people have used it for.

Here is the pattern:

Row 1: (right side): K1, *YO, sl 1, K1, psso) twice, K1 (K2tog, YO) twice, K1; rep from *j to end.
