Playlist added!

I’ve been looking all over trying to find a good music player for the blog. Considering how popular WordPress is, you would think they would have more of this sort of thing, or at least make it easier to find one. Tonight, however, I found one at Mixpod.com. It’s a little tricky getting it onto your site with WP, but it’s doable. You can also make any small size tweaks once its on your site. The only thing is, there isn’t a huge amount of music to choose from on Mixpod. Luckily I did find some of my favs, but it’s pretty hit or miss whether you find what you like or not.

I’m still happy at finally finding one for the blog. Enjoy!

Title: I’m Posting every day in 2011…er…2012!

I’ve decided I want to blog more. Rather than just thinking about doing it, I’m starting right now.  I will be posting on this blog once a day / once a week for all of 2011 and 2012.

I know it won’t be easy, but it might be fun, inspiring, awesome and wonderful. Therefore I’m promising to make use of The DailyPost, and the community of other bloggers with similiar goals, to help me along the way, including asking for help when I need it and encouraging others when I can.

If you already read my blog, I hope you’ll encourage me with comments and likes, and good will along the way.

Ok, yes this is a sample post that I used, but I do think it would be a fun idea. I’ve been trying to become more active and this should be a fun way to start. There is also post a day, but I already knew I wouldn’t keep up with that yet. (see post about nanowrimo. lol)

Anyway, join up if it sounds fun to you, too!

I think I’ve finally found it!

Thanks for all your patience with the renovations. I’ve tried a ton of designs and finally found one I really like a lot.

My issues were with the skinny widths that most of them are. I don’t want someone reading my stuff to have to be constantly scrolling down to read the whole thing.  This one is wide enough without being too wide for comfortable, easy reading.

I also wanted custom headers. I want to be able to put up pictures that I like, or that match the season or whatever. Some of them didn’t look as nice as I wanted, or were so narrow that you could barely fit anything into it. This one is a bit taller so that you can actually make a decent piccy for there.

I also wanted my backgrounds to be independent of the writing area. This way no matter what background I put on, it won’t interfere with being able to read the text. I also love the gradient effect that is built into this one and it makes any background I’ve played with so far look dimensional and great.

So… what do you all think? Btw, if someone could test my email button I would appreciate it. <grins>
