A while back I reposted one of Diane Faw’s blogs about making Valentine’s Day heart crayons from old crayons. I loved the idea. Now with yard sales starting up I’ve been keeping my eye out for crayons. This weekend I found a bunch. I didn’t have heart shaped pan to use, but I had one for cupcakes and used that. This was fun, but it was a bit tedius peeling off all the wrappers. Back to the crayon hunt!
This was so wierd and cool and fascinating that I just had to post it here. This has to be the king of recycling ideas. Not sure how durable it would be though. Still pretty neat.
And on the same idea, here are some more spiffy ideas for using up leftover yarn. If you don’t already get Tipnut.com you should look into it. They have amazing amount of ideas for just about everything.
I think I need a new category…recycling/uncycling! lol
I’m pressing this because its a GREAT idea. It’s also a good way for me to not lose it. <grins> I’m going to make little granny squares instead simply because I think it would be easier for me to figure out how to sew together. What a cool idea for using up those little balls of leftovers!
Tell me this is not the quirkiest, coolest thing ever! I know I’m going to be trying this one. Combine it with some colors or even the clear spoons for a crystal rose. Follow the links to see more pictures of them.
