laundry soap and moonlight

I made a new batch of laundry soap today. This is actually the second time I made it, but I did it wrong the first time and it didn’t come out at all right. I used it…but it wasn’t even close to being what it should be. First time I used the Fels Naptha, as directed, but I really don’t care for the smell of that soap. Also, I have very sensitive skin and decided I wanted something a bit gentler. This time I used Pink Zote Soap. The pink is gentler than the white and it has a lovely smell. I also did it right this time and celebrated by making my jars pretty to go with my pretty pink creamy soap. lol.

The recipe is from Budget 101.

What does this have to do with moonlight, you ask? Well, let me tell you. I found this really beautiful agate slice that was a deep cobalt blue at the bottom then graduated up to a stripy white/gray at the top. It looked just like a deep ocean with a night time sky. It was begging to be painted on. This is my first time painting on one of the slices, but I love how it came out.

I may try to get a better picture tomorrow during the day, but still not too bad. Its been a fun day. πŸ™‚
